There’s No Experience Like the Rob Levitt Experience……

Rob’s energy, idea bank and creativity are over the top!  The students in my undergraduate education courses that are working toward teaching in their own elementary, special education or early childhood classrooms are captivated and engaged by Rob’s casually entertaining, yet professional, informative presentation style.  This style is one-of-a-kind.  It provides an opportunity to experience learning and teaching at a whole different level, while being entertained and learning from his real life experiences.  If you don’t experience Rob, you are really missing out on an incredible learning and entertainment opportunity……Just Do It!!!

I was starting to wonder about teaching as a career altogether…I had a little “eye-opener” tonight because of our speaker.  Thank you for having him!

Rob Levitt, when completing the research component of a Master of Science in Reading with Reading Specialist Certification at Gwynedd-Mercy College developed a literacy program for early readers based on music and lyrics that he developed. This program provides support for children who are just learning to read. Rob went on to present and inspire fellow educators at the Keystone State Reading Conference!

Rob Levitt’s music is for kids and by kids; that’s what makes it so powerful.  They can see themselves in lyrics that tackle school fears and celebrate daily triumphs.  And they can hear themselves in the music he has helped them create.  Rob’s belief in the arts as an avenue toward reading and writing excellence is a welcome, effective approach!

I teach courses for teachers that help them incorporate affective education into their classrooms through a variety of philsophies and activities.  We are always emphasizing the importance of teaching to all of the Multiple Intelligences in order to meet the needs of all students.  Rob’s presentations are an integral part of these courses.  He comes in and has teachers, Pre-K-12, who often would never do so, writing and performing songs that connect to the many topics that fall under the umbrella of Character Education and/or their specific curriculum.  His approach is engaging and entertaining!  We always enjoy hearing and watching Rob perform his classics, or new tunes!  Those children, that are so very lucky to have Rob as a teacher, are given such a special gift!  I am sure all of them will never forget the musical learning experiences and antics of Mr. Levitt!
